Does Mississippi State deserve a playoff spot if every team wins out?

From unranked to number 1, Mississippi State has been a great story this year. Dak Prescott is having a Heisman Trophy type of season but there is a possibility that Dak and the 'Dawgs won't make the college football playoff. Mississippi State is sitting in 4th but sweating heavily. Three teams also have one loss behind them (TCU, Ohio State, Baylor,) all who have a chance to win their conference. But if Auburn can't beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl Saturday, Mississippi State will be left out of the SEC championship because 'Bama has the tie-breaker with a win at Bryant-Denny Stadium just a few weeks ago. So where does this leave Miss. St? Baylor wins out, they are conference champions and the same goes for Ohio State. TCU will be left out in the dust because Baylor owns the tie-breaker over TCU with a miracle at McLane Stadium in Waco. (I was there and I never seen anything like that before. Down by 21 points with 11 minutes left, TCU gave that game away.) Ohio State has one more home game vs. Michigan then it's off to the conference championship against either Minnesota or Wisconsin who play each other this weekend. Let's play the what if game. What if Ohio State and Baylor wins their conference championship, and Alabama beats Auburn? Where will Miss St fall. They play in arguably the hardest conference and division in all of D-1 football, SEC West. Should a conference champion from the Big 12 or Big 10 jump them? Why should they be penalized for not playing in the conference champion game? So far the committee has been looking at strength of schedule and wins. They have one of the toughest schedules and quality wins. But if Miss St. can't even appear in the conference championship game, they don't deserve to be in the college football playoff. That means a conference champion or two will be left out of the playoffs. Again, there should not be any SEC bias like it always seems there is. Miss St. lost to the wrong team at the wrong time of the year. They need some help from several teams to stay at that 4th spot. It looks like the top 2 spots are locked in but Florida St. never is because they need a comeback every game so they can see be in the conversion. One lose in the new playoff shouldn't hurt a team, but in Miss St., it could cost them a chance at the national championship. In the end, IF, and thats a big if, every team in the top 7 win our, the first college football bracket will be, Alabama, Oregon, Florida St, and Baylor. Baylor for that reason the Big 12 is a tougher conference than the Big 10. Sorry Mississippi St., but your time is running out.
