Sweet 16: A Bit of a Surprising One

We're down to the Sweet 16. Kentucky, Duke, Arizona were expected to be there. But what about the others that no one gave much of a shot to advance to the round of 16.

NC State at the beginning of the tournament was a 250-1 odds to win the whole tournament. Those odds have improved with their run to the Sweet 16. The Battle of Kansas was yesterday. Wichita State vs. Kansas. The Governor was on hand sporting a split shirt featuring both teams. The Shockers literally shocked everyone and beat KU.

UCLA is no stranger to the Sweet 16. But this is the first time in their program's history their in the Sweet 16 as a double-digit seed. Even legendary Coach John Wooden couldn't do that, but again they were always top seeds.

351 D-I schools all have a chance to make the tournament but only 16 have the chance to be a champion.
